What if your greatest frustrations, deepest longings, and most consistent strengths were actually clues? What if your story — in all its glory and mess — was woven together with a divine thread that points to a much bigger purpose?

Welcome to the journey of discovering your Redemptive Gift — a soul-level imprint from God that reveals how you were created to reflect Him uniquely on the earth.

I’ve spent years walking alongside leaders and teams, coaching them through personality profiles, communication styles, and behavioural assessments. And while these tools offer value, I’ve always felt something was missing.

They diagnose behaviour. But they don’t uncover design.

When I encountered Arthur Burk’s teachings on the Redemptive Gifts, I finally found language for what I had sensed all along: that each person is hardwired by God — not just for function, but for fulfilment. That our soul carries one of seven core gifts, rooted in Romans 12, that shapes how we build, lead, love, and live.

"We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully." – Romans 12:6–8 (NIV)


This isn’t about labelling or limiting yourself. It’s about getting honest, healed, and holy — so you can carry out your calling with maturity and authority.

“For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form.” – Colossians 2:9

Jesus walked in all seven redemptive gifts — not as a personality profile, but as the perfect embodiment of God’s nature. He called out hypocrisy like a Prophet, taught with clarity, gave without measure, led multitudes, and healed with compassion. He was — and is — the fullness of the Father’s heart.

You and I? We reflect a part of that fullness. A single, powerful facet. Your redemptive gift of the soul is like a compass — not pointing north, but pointing back to your design.

And once you discover your redemptive gift, you’ll begin to see the fingerprint of God in your wiring, your wounds — and your life's calling.

🔁 What Are Fractals — and Why Do They Matter?

Before we dive deeper, let’s pause and look at the pattern behind the gifts.

A fractal is a repeating pattern found throughout nature — in snowflakes, trees, waves, and galaxies. In the Bible, God reveals Himself through fractals too: repeating structures that point to His design and order.

Fractals are more than patterns in nature — they’re spiritual design codes. In the case of Redemptive Gifts, God reveals His nature through repeating sequences of seven: seven days of creation, seven feasts, seven spirits of God, seven churches in Revelation. These patterns aren't random — they're intentional.

The Bible itself is structured fractally every number or sets of numbers can be overlaid and studied within the micro and the macro — with stories echoing themes, principles layered in divine symmetry, and both Old and New Testaments revealing the same redemptive patterns through different lenses.

From Genesis to Revelation, God uses fractals to reveal His ways and His character — and to invite us into His order.


Each of the seven Redemptive Gifts aligns and parallels the "sevens" in scripture.  Below are just some examples, there are many, many, many more waiting for you to explore: 

  1. Seven Days of Creation

  3. Seven Spirits of God 
  4. Seven Churches in Revelation
  5. Seven Jesus’ “I Am” statements

These layers aren’t just theological trivia — they are spiritual blueprints that show how your gift fits into God’s wider order. Each gift reveals a unique portion of who He is and how He moves.

  • Partner with your divine design

🧬 How Do These Gifts Work?

  • You are born with one primary redemptive gift of the soul
  • It influences how you lead, love, and make decisions
  • Your gift shows up in how you handle pressure, celebrate success, and navigate relationships

Knowing your gift:

  • Reveals your purpose
  • Guides your healing and maturity
  • Helps you discern your assignment

🛠️ It’s not something you choose — it’s something you uncover.

🔍 How Can I Tell If It’s Natural or Learned?

Ask yourself:

  • When I’m at peace and fully myself, what do I love doing?
  • What do I do that feels life-giving, even when it costs energy?
  • What behaviour do I revert to under pressure, instinctively?

Sometimes we confuse trauma-informed behaviour or learned strengths for gifting. That’s why this journey requires time, patience, and the Holy Spirit.

❓ Can I Have More Than One Redemptive Gift?

No — you have one primary redemptive gift, woven into your soul from conception.

But:

  • You might identify with other gifts based on your job, upbringing, or mentors
  • You may carry traits of others in certain seasons or assignments
  • As your spirit matures, it will begin to carry the fruit of all seven gifts

Each redemptive gift carries a unique “spiritual metabolism.” Some are made for intensity, others for longevity. Some build deeply. Others broadly.

Trying to copy another gift leads to: 

  1. Exhaustion
  2. Identity confusion
  3. Shallow results

Instead? Anchor into what God placed in you.

🧭 Reflection Question

  • What are the areas where I’ve felt the most drained — and could it be because I’m trying to operate outside my gift? Where has my natural gift produced fruit without striving, and how can I do more of that?

Father, thank You that You knit me together with purpose and precision. Thank You for giving me a Redemptive Gift that reflects Your nature. Holy Spirit, begin to uncover what has been hidden or mistaken in my life. Show me what is learned versus what is designed. Remove false labels. Heal distorted perceptions. Jesus, cover this journey in Your blood and lead me into joyful discovery. I also ask that you would empower my actions by your blood as I start this redemptive gift journey of discovery.  I want to know what You placed in me from the beginning. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Amen.
